RE Sporthorses provides exceptional care for horses in a picturesque setting in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Our facility is conveniently situated off Route 11, between Harrisonburg and Staunton, and is just minutes from I-81. We feature a spacious 25-stall barn, a large tack room with a bathroom, a wash rack, and grooming stalls. Additionally, we have a 120×220 sand arena equipped with lights, ample hacking out space, and various fields that accommodate private, small, and large herd opportunities. Your horse will receive top-notch care in a well-equipped and serene environment.

Training

Josie offers comprehensive training for horses at all levels and across various disciplines, catering to a wide range of needs. Whether you are looking to start your horse under saddle without the traditional “breaking out” process, rehabilitate an injured horse, assist an OTTB in transitioning to a new career, or simply provide a spring tune-up, Josie is equipped to help. With a strong foundation in dressage, she focuses on teaching balance, rhythm, and responsiveness to aids, ensuring that each horse is well-prepared for their specific goals—be it becoming a dressage star, an eventing champion, or a dependable trail partner.

Showing

Team RES actively participates in starter and recognized events, as well as dressage shows. Josie is passionate about developing young horses and coaching students across various skill levels. Her personal aspirations include advancing to the upper levels of both dressage and eventing. If you encounter Team RES at any shows, feel free to stop by and say hello!
